Developed by U.K. online gambling company Gamesys via their subsidiary Profitable Play, Jackpotjoy has long been the country’s number one online gaming site, offering bingo, slots and table games to consumers wanting to afford themselves excitement and a chance to win big. Despite being so popular though, the service has recently undergone a re-launch, and players can now download the brand new Jackpotjoy app, packed with all manner of new features and changes.

Since being sold to Canadian group Intertain in February 2015, the need for a re-release has been great. Although as Gamesys continues to provide technical, marketing and operational services across the brand, the need to progress in to the new era of Intertain is indeed important, and updates should generally also be conducted every now and again so as to ensure the quality of the product. Has the app undergone a step-change? Should gamers consider downloading the service?

The new app, completely free to download, is far more optimised for smartphones and tablets than previous builds. Optimised for the iPhone 5, but completely compatible with iOS 6.0 or later, the app will play on any Apple device and is available from the Apple App Store. As with any download, a quick look at reviews is a must-do, and here the results are pleasantly surprising; with an overall four and a half stars, the new version is rated one star higher than the previous. What, then, is behind this boost in ratings?

Firstly, the app now supports ‘demo mode’. Here, any player using the app, whether they have any cash in their account or otherwise, can access and play any of the games on the service for free. Taking away the absolute imperative of having to spend money on the app, whilst letting gamers get to grips with the overall app, finding their favourite games without fearing a loss of money, is a positive, popular development that should be applauded.

With 24/7 support and 24 hour withdrawals, the customer is again put first; I can’t begin to describe the annoyance that comes from playing a little late night slots only to find that you can’t withdraw your winnings straight away – this step certainly eliminates that problem, and likely has lowered a fair few individuals’ blood pressures as a result!

What’s more, gamers are given a £25 free play when they sign up which can be used on any of the hundreds of games on the site (far more than other competitors), will receive regular updates that afford players new titles and slots to enjoy, and can enjoy a far more stable experience thanks to a multitude of technical improvements.

Jackpotjoy’s new release is a lot of fun, and a change in ownership looks to have done nothing to dent the game’s excellent levels quality, ease of use, and above all, entertainment!
