The truth is that this post is not going to self-destruct but the iPhone app Kaboom made by Hotspot Shield is looking to change the way we post to our social media site by adding a self-destruct automatic function.
The goal of this app is to add a new level of privacy to your social networks.
Similar to the idea behind Snapchat this ephemeral messaging app is creating waves in the world of applications. Instead of being an entirely new social media this app works with your favorite and current networks like Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, SMS and email.
How it works is you select the app and create the post including the photo, video, link or words you wish to share. Then you select exactly how long you want the post to show, you can also select how many views, before the post poof and is gone.
The benefit of Kaboom is that you do not have to leave an existing message and then go to a new one to put a time limit on the post. You can do it all directly through Kaboom in one place injecting the idea of Snapchap into every aspect of your social media life.
Look for the cute little white ghost with the red camera and a blue backround to ensure you have downloaded the correct app.
The app is very new but showing great reviews so far online. People seem to really get on board with the idea of putting a limit to their items.
I personal love the app and think everyone should down load it asap!
What I really like about it is that I can post a news story that I really like and put a limit to how long it will be on my profile. In today’s fast pace world the social bubble is constantly filling up with more and more junk and news stories are being updated by the minute. So instead of having an outdated stories filling up my profile I can have the things I really want people to see. Like the picture of me and my husband at the beach last week or of me and my best friend at a BBQ last month.
I can feel better about posting things because I won’t feel like I am just constantly adding to that social bubble. Only the items that really matter to me will stay and the rest will poof! That is a great tag might be something like “#KaboomPoof of #PoofKaboom!
Another example, if I need a place to get my car fix and know that by tomorrow I will already have it in a shop I can put a limit and forget about it without having to go and open a bunch of apps and complicate things.
What a great idea for an app and I cannot wait to see what updates and improvement will be coming over the next few months.
