A puzzle can come in any form, any shape or any size; after all it’s a puzzle. I don’t what I’m talking about. I guess I’m puzzled too. But sometimes, this whole world looks like a big puzzle to me and I’m just a small part of this big circle. A circle that we’re all riding our bikes on and going through the same spot again and again but never bother to look back. It’s like a place of confused souls who’re just following the path in the wood but don’t know that they’ve finally come back to the same tree again. But wait! Where am I heading to? Am I still talking about puzzles? I think I’ll have to track my way back to where I started. I’m all lost since I’ve been a part of this puzzle of circles called ROTO.

ROTO is an amazing puzzle – a puzzle of circles. The rule is simple. There is a small circle that is riding on the circumference of bigger circles and you have to guide it circle-by-circle to the last big circle with a flag on it. Once you reach the flag, you’ve cleared the level. On the way, you have to somehow manage to collect all the stars as well because the journey is not only about survival but to get going with good points. But the story is still incomplete without mentioning all the obstacles that form a big part of your journey. Rotating saws that can be moving as well are more than a threat to your life. So it’s like you’re crossing over a river via stepping stones that is flooded with crocodiles. So you can’t put a foot wrong here!
The gameplay is very addictive. There are nearly 120 levels in 4 different level packs and they’re all amazing. As the game proceeds, new balls take their position. For example, the orange ball bounces back the small circle. So you have to use it smartly and strategically. Then there is a grey ball which disappears. So the game never gets boring; there’s always a new story to talk about.
The mechanics of the game works in a very unique fashion. It seems like an engine is at work because there are so many moving parts working in a direction to give the final output. The black & white graphic art used by the developers simply enhances the overall flavour and the gaming spirit remains intact. Just like a good orator uses his words smartly, the developers have gone with the minimal graphic approach and put them to good use.
