Your town has been attacked by enemies and they’re not just a bunch of criminals who’re looking to fuel their insensitive curiosity. In fact, they’re not even humans. They’re the descendants of devil and they don’t have a reason to do something evil. They have arrived in groups and they’re not one but of five different kinds. What would you do? Asking others for help would be the easiest of options on your mind. But helping others by defending your town yourself is the one I’m looking for. So if you’re aggressive by nature and know how to use that quality in your defence, I think you’ve got the right to know about this game called Shire Defense.
Shire Defense is an iOS app that has been developed by Bohemia Touch. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.1 or any later version of the OS.
Shire Defense will test your strategy skills; how efficiently you can use given tools to kill the enemies before they infiltrate into your territory. So you have some not-so-basic weapons such as tornado, fireballs, metal bees, poison clouds, etc that you have to carefully place at different places. These will be the ultimate killers on your part as you won’t be interacting or fist-fighting with the demons yourself. The demons come in groups that seem infinite and are powerful enough to destroy your complete kingdom single handed. So you can’t allow even a single one of them to escape your death route.
The game is spread across 5 different regions and 25 different worlds. So once you’re defending your mountains, the very next moment you’re standing in the valley. But as each such location has different contours and textures, you have to adapt your strategy accordingly. Having the same playing eleven in each match won’t win you all the matches; you have to make changes as per the opponent. So when you have 5 different enemies to counter, keep your mind open all the time.
Shire Defense looks very good on the screen. The animations are smooth-flowing and the graphics are rich with colours. There are many different textures and colour-combinations used by the developers and it gives a flamboyant but raw feeling to the overall setup. It’s a battleground but you can still feel the calmness of a countryside kingdom. The dynamic gameplay keeps you on your toes all the time and you’re always busy planning the next move.
The game gets very challenging lately and it’s the right time to upgrade your tools. The more powerful your enemy becomes, the more devastating must be your weapons. Otherwise, it’d be a one-side fight with the winner declared before the match starts.
Shire Defense is available for free in the App Store. There are some in-app purchases but you can continue without them as well. So take out your iPhones and download this game now!
