With Squawk I was able to geo-tag all the cool or interesting places I went and leave little notes about my adventures and the people I was with. I used to always carry a notebook around so that I could remember what wine I enjoyed at what bar, or what the best dessert was at a new restaurant tried. Now I just use Squawk. It works great as a social media app but I really like it as an organized log book in my pocket.
The app is intuitive and easy to learn. You can synch it with your other apps like Facebook, Twitter, insta, you name it, and you can let your friends know what you’ve been up to and where you’ve been up to it . I’m actually surprised it’s taken this long for this type of an App to be developed. I’ve tried some other similar Apps but they just don’t work like Squawk does. There is something difficult about creating the perfect sort of ‘log book’ App that Squawk finally hit on the head.
I use it most often on those afternoons when I can’t figure out what to do for fun. Go to a bar? The beach? Hang with friends? I consult the Squawk App and am instantly reminded of some fun places I’ve been to. I talked a few of my friends into downloading the app so now I can see what they’ve been up to. Sometimes we meet up and hang but often times I use Squawk to see what places they have been to and then go check them out for myself.
The user interface for the app is pretty straight forward and just how I like it. Like I said, it’s intuitive but it also has an elegant look and feel. The best part is how seamlessly it synchs with your other social media apps. I have found in the past that synching all of your social media apps can be a real headache but I ran into no such trouble with the Squawk app.
I really think this is just one of those things that once everybody hears about it it will be as pervasive as twitter or Instagram. It has a real usefulness that new social media apps have been lacking recently. It’s such a convenience to be able to pull out my phone and instantly record into the digital realm whatever it is I deem worth recording. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve forgotten or even just overlooked a restaurant or a bar and a cool spot in the wilderness and now I not only have total recall thanks to Squawk but I can see what my friends are doing in the area and use their experiences to come up with new ideas for myself, or I can just meet up with them wherever they are.
All in all it’s a totally great App and I strongly recommend giving it a whirl. It’s one of those things that just gets better and better as more people use it. I’d be willing to bet that this is going to be a big one. I don’t know much background info about the company but I bet they are pretty excited!!
