As a writer, game apps such as Word Be-Gone and other similar games are necessary for vocabulary advancement. Considering myself to be somewhat of a gamer, I have tried out several matching products and Word Be-Gone is one of my favorites. There are two different versions of the game that allow players multiple options. There is Word Be-Gone Classic and Word Be-Gone Twist. Word Be-Gone Classic is similar to your average word search puzzle.
Being a word search fanatic, Word Be-Gone Classic has created a way for it’s player to complete a variety of different puzzles without carrying around a book. Although word search books are hours of fun, Word Be-Gone is more convenient for players on the go. Whether you’re waiting in a busy doctors office, sitting in traffic or commuting to work and school daily via public transportation, Word Be-Gone is just the best. Word-Be Gone classic allows players to swipe away words vertically, horizontally and even diagonally, just like the books, but THIS app can fit right in your pocket.
The other aspect of the app is Word-Be Gone Twist. This is where the game gets really interesting and exciting. A player can create words in ways other than your traditional up, down or left to right swipes. In Word Be-Gone Twist, players are able to be super creative when connecting letters to make their words. The words can twist or wind all around the board. As long as they are adjoining and close to one another the possibilities are unlimited.
Word Be-Gone puts you in the mind of popular board games like Boggle and Scrabble but are one only a click away. It’s a very nostalgic in that way. I’ve been playing Word Be-Gone and other similar games for quite some time now. Word Be-Gone has allowed me to keep my mind sharp as a writer. This is no ordinary game. You can learn new words in every session of game play.
One major component of the app that I found very challenging but impressive is the fact that the player must clear the board. This is perfect in aiding a player to learn new words in every game. Having to clear the board seems like a lot of pressure for a word game because there are so many words that we don’t know. There are so many words that will we never know in one lifetime, but this game sure gets you close.
Even though this game has some challenging aspects it will never leave you in a bind searching for that perfect word too score major points or that final word to clear the board. Word Be-Gone offers the players hints. That’s right, when you think you’ve lost the game and you just know there is no way you can think of another word to clear your board, just press the hint button. It will give you the information you need to make your next move. Word Be-Gone also has a tab for rules giving you all the knowledge you need to master the game.
