Sometimes, I wonder if I had only one device that could serve for all my purposes. I mean if I could call from the same device on which I can edit my documents while listening to my favourite music and watch movies. While our Smartphones are able to do most of what I just asked for, they’re not as efficient. You won’t get the same taste of watching a movie on your 4.5” Smartphone screen as you’d enjoy it on your home theatre. Similarly, editing documents is really a tough task on your touch screen Smartphone. Browsing experience is also very different on your Laptop/PC. That’s why most of the times you are busy transferring files from one device to another and this process is time taking as well as cumbersome. So while we don’t have an all-in-one device, we can make the process a little easy for you.

We have a new app in the Play Store called Web PC Suite that has been developed by GeekSoft. The app is compatible with all the devices running Android 2.2 or any later version of the OS.

So how Web PC Suite does makes it all easy for you? Well first of all, it’s a wireless mode of data transfer and therefore you don’t have to worry for the USB cable anymore. All you have to do is open a web address displayed on the app. You can also scan the QR code, choice is yours. This web page shows you your phone menu. It has all the files of your phone sorted in particular order and categories such as music, videos, apps, etc. Now if you want to copy any file, you can do it in the same way as you copy a file on your computer. You can use this web page like you normally surf on web. So play your favourite music and video files live. If you want to download any file, there is option to do so and if you want to add a new file to your phone library, you can upload files from your PC as well. There are other provisions for backing up of apps, installing new ones, etc.

I really liked the whole idea of web navigation. The UI works very fast and you don’t have to first understand any new features. It’s like meeting an old friend but I must say that this old friend has good fashion sense. Not only is the app easy to use, but the graphics are very sharp and decent as well. It’s a very delicate picture in front of your eyes.

One thing is to be made sure that your internet connection must be quick or otherwise, this connection will be very slow. But if you fulfil that requirement and you still don’t have it, all I can do is recommend you to download it today from the Play Store. It’s available for free.

Pros: intuitive UI; decent graphics; copy/edit files; install new apps and back up installed ones; play live media files; free.

Cons: none.
